Welcome. I have practised as a civil celebrant since completing the Graduate Diploma in Civil Ceremonies at Monash University in 2001. I am based in Melbourne. It is a job I love. It is a great privilege to be involved with people during life’s most remarkable occasions. I believe that rituals have an important place in our society. They mark crucial milestones, clarifying and holding in a deeply treasured way a time that gives meaning to each individual’s unique personal journey. As a celebrant, my approach is to work with you, the client, in shaping and delivering a ceremony that reflects your wishes and desires. I want your ceremony to be special not only on the day it occurs, but to remain memorable in the years to come. |

I bring to my role as a celebrant a long career of working with people. I was employed for twenty-three years in the disability sector working closely with families. I also have a background in the creative arts – both in sculpture and in performance. Interacting so intimately with people, connecting with a crowd, and drawing on my imagination all played major roles in my decision to become a celebrant. I am a people-person. Through my past work and my own personal history I have gained a great appreciation of the diversity of our Australian community. My strengths lie in listening and helping to clarify what you, the client, wants. I draw on my experience as a celebrant to provide suggestions and direction so that you have an occasion that is uniquely yours. |
